They would like to . visit Morocco in a motorhome and look for a good route for a road trip through Morocco ? Here is the route of my trip that allowed me to discover all facets of Morocco by following a circular route from Tangier.

I tell you all about the organization of it 1 month road trip in Morocco and give you my detailed itinerary and google map you can follow in GPS mode.

The best times to visit Morocco by motorhome are spring and autumn. In fact, it is the two seasons that allow you to enjoy a dry climate and avoid excessively hot temperatures.

But even in winter, temperatures are mild, especially along the coast. That's why many European retirees go to the Moroccan coast to spend the whole winter there.

If you only want to discover the basics of Morocco, a 15-day tour is quite achievable. But if you want to discover the most beautiful sights of Morocco, enjoy the beautiful beaches, walk in the souks, take beautiful hikes in the Atlas…. In short, to travel in vacation mode, I recommend you to plan 1 month for the circuit described below.

This itinerary is therefore a base that you can adapt to the number of days you have available. It is a circuit of 1 month but fully customizable by adding a few steps for a . will be 15 or 20 days of road trip.

For those who are not equipped with a van or motorhome, they can rent one for this road trip in Morocco. Using Yescapa, they can rent a van or motorhome from a private individual. The transactions are well monitored and insured (payment on the site through a secure area).

Most retired campers who travel to Morocco prefer to cross the whole of Spain by motorhome to take the ferry from there. You must go to Algeciras to board the ferry to Ceuta. From Algeciras the crossing is faster and cheaper than from France.

In fact, it is quite possible to take the ferry in France (from Sete or Marseille) to go directly to Morocco. However, the crossing is a bit longer and inevitably a bit more expensive.

However, since I am not retired, I did not want to waste too much time traveling all over Spain. I decided to leave from Sete. And to have my peace of mind, I preferred to book my crossing Morocco by ferry online.

To travel to Morocco by van or motorhome, you must plan passports for all passengers means and visa with short validity (max. 3 months). The latter wonder at customs when you will be at the Moroccan border.

The French driving license (EU model) is accepted everywhere in Morocco. So you do not need an international permit.

You must of course take all the documents of the van or the camper (gray card, insurance) as well as the identity cards.

Regarding health formalities related to COVID from France, you should consult the latest updates on the following topics: Entry formalities in Morocco

As for the famous cards that all travelers had to hand over to the police during police checks, they are no longer relevant since more than a year ago.

To define theTravel itinerary of my tour in Morocco, I first looked for the must-see visits then I organized the stages to make it a circular route from Tangier.

Here are the stables (unmissable sights of Morocco) that I programmed on my itinerary (departure and return Tangier:

By clicking on "More options in the map you can follow the route in GPS mode.

If you are traveling in a van or motorhome, you want to spend the night in sublime places, places overlooking the sea .

However, wild camping or parking anywhere at night in a van or camper van in Morocco is strongly discouraged.

Given the very low prices for campsites in Morocco, it is not worth the risk to spend the night in an unsafe place.

Especially since there is no difficulty in finding a campsite on each leg of this road trip. To do this, you need to download the application to your cell phone in advance. Park4night ou camper contact.

So depending on where you are, you have all the options you need to park or stay overnight in a safe place. All you have to do is click on the map and do "search in this area".
